(Starlit Wishes/38375) Thanks! That's what I thought.

Thanks! That's what I thought.
The nurse offered to have the test redone. But my hands and arms haven't
recovered from the first test yet...by the 4th draw she had a heck of a time
finding a vein willing to give up a vial of blood, and I am still quite brused
and swollen from those draws. So I let them order me the glucose meter and set
up the meeting with the dietician...which as it turns out I won't get either of
those things until after I see the doc again (Next Monday) so he and I are
going to have a chat about things.

At least maybe I can get him to agree that if after a couple of weeks of close
monitorings things seem normal, maybe we can ease back on the constant testing
and all.

Its also interesting that within a few hours of being hom the day I had my test
I came down with an awful respritory illness of some sort (still have it)...and
I know illness can affect blood sugar too...so I wonder if that might be why my
fasting level was 95.

Anyway my doc seems like a reasonable guy...so hopefully he will be willing to
listen to my concerns with an open mind.
Boy I wish my former OB hadn't retired though ...he was such a great doctor!
