Oh, and i just wanted to say:  after these two different birth experiences, I
will never again begrudge any woman her decision on pain management, or her
complaints about the pain of labor!  After the first one, I thought "yeah, it
was really really painful, but manageable.  People who get an epidural at the
first contraction are crazy!"  But then after the second one, I understand the
wide range of pain that can be experienced, even by the same person.  Throw in
different people, and their different pain tolerances, and there is an
unbelievable range of possible experience!
