Yeah, it's SO hard when moms-to-be or BRIDES-to-be for that matter, take to the
registry aisles and make wishlists instead of we-need-lists. People see the
$300 highchair and skip it instead of purchasing something less expensive but
just as functional.
As far as the travel system goes - no matter how spendy the one the parents
pick, they probably picked it for a reason (be it the cute pattern or the
safety features) so I'll let that slide with the realization they're going to
have to probably purchase that themselves! But pack n plays, high chairs, and
swings... they all do the same THINGS just with different bells & whistles and
most of the b's & W's are SO unecessary.
My most recent run in with this was a bridal shower. Girl registered for a
$180 bathmat. SERIOUSLY? Who needs to drip on something that costs $180??? I
bought a new one at BB&B for $30 just last week and probably could've saved 1/2
that if I woudl have went to Target or WMart.
