I never got more than 1/2 to 1 oz. while trying to pump unless we were out of
town and I was pumping to keep my supply up because Max wasn't with us.
But if it's truly a weight gain issue like Sasha was describing and the Dr.'s
were concerned about his failure to thrive on the breastmilk, then that is a
different story I supposed. As far as teh cabbage leaves go... everyone is
different. Since your milk supply was supposedly so low to begin with, I'd say
it shouldn't take more than a couple days to start feeling some relief.
Though, if you ARE having engorgement issues, maybe your milk supply wasn't as
low as you originally thought.
