Haylie> I don't want to stay in the hospital any longer than I have to, and I
am pretty sure that the birthing center (where I will be delivering, which is a
separate dept. in the hospital from labor and delivery) doesn't make you stay
more than a few hours. But I am seriously considering hiring a post-partum
doula for a few days after the birth to help in exactly the ways you mentioned
-- so that my husband and I can both get a little sleep and know the baby's
taken care of. I like knowing that I have the option, anyway, if I decide I
want it. Your reasoning works for me. :)
