(Elfanie/33806) - uterine rupture:

uterine rupture:
prostaglandins are actually more dangerous for the scar than oxytocin
(Pitocin) is....
but if we don't give you prostaglandins or oxytocin...the risk of uterine
rupture on a VBAC is very very small. In fact..the odds are greater that your
doctor isn't a real doctor than the odds are that your uterus will rupture.
Very small.

 Homebirth and mess:
Our house was MANY times more messy after our hospital birth (both of them)
than either of our homebirths. With the hospital birth you usually have quite
a bit of labor at home...plenty of time to make a mess. =) then you go to the
hospital...when you come home all of that mess you created during labor is
waiting for you.
For my homebirths...they cleaned up EVERYTHING from the actual birth...but
also started a load of laundry (the sheets from the bed, towels, etc), picked
up the bathroom, cleaned the toilet after I used it....it was actually CLEANER
than when I went into labor! It was awesome! And to be able to just snuggle
into bed with my new baby...surrounded by my older children and
husband..."priceless" as the commercial says.

this picture was about half an hour after the birth..(notice the baby's hair
is still damp)

And this picture was taken about an hour and a half after the birth...kicking
back watching television..
